Transplanting Garden Knife – Small

Description

The Transplanting Garden Knife – Small is compact and easy to use when repotting smaller plants.  This knife is a smaller model of our Transplanting Garden Knife – Large – both new and innovative products manufactured by Takemoto Sickle. This small transplanting garden knife is popular for repotting plants such as succulents.  What makes this product different from other garden knives is how sharp and sturdy it is. Long, thin blades like this often bend easily, while thick blades tend not to be as sharp. But this transplanting garden knife has been crafted by a trusted company with over 100 years of experience making sickles. Takemoto Sickle are the experts when it comes to crafting curved blades that are both thin and durable.

Created by Curved Blade Experts

The artisan manufacturer, Takemoto Sickle, has produced this new product by carefully applying their century-old sickle making techniques, giving these knives a unique sickle-like curved blade and an edge with a sharpness perfectly calibrated for the purpose of repotting or transplanting.  These knives are made to take a bit of rough prodding and poking. The thin yet durable curved blades of these garden knives are the result of Takemoto Sickle’s time-honoured techniques and their knowledge of making high quality sickles.

Takemoto Sickle have developed these transplanting garden knives together with horticulturists and garden professionals, with their specific needs and experiences in mind. Your pots may contain objects such as gravel and pumice but with this sturdy garden tool, damaging the knife or the pots is far less of a concern. Not only does the knife cut through persistent roots easily, it is sturdy so you don’t need to be too delicate when using it. The sharpness of the blade has been fine-tuned and the tip rounded so that the knife cuts through tough roots easily and reliably, without damaging the bottom of the pot.

the perfect gift

Repotting container plants or breaking up roots in fabric garden pouches was a nuisance for many but Takemoto’s transplanting garden knives turn chores into fun. This small transplanting garden knife can also be used as a weeding tool to remove unwanted grass and weeds in your garden. This is the new must-have item in the tool box of any keen plant grower and the perfect gift.

The double-edged blade is made of Japanese stainless steel which is rust resistant and relatively easy to sharpen if you want to maintain the edge yourself. Finished off with a beautiful, sturdy oak handle, the Takemoto Sickle Transplanting Garden Knife is not only lovely to use, it’s lovely to look at as well.
