Matcha Japanese Tea Bowl – Wave Riding Rabbits

Description

This gorgeous matcha Japanese tea bowl with wave riding rabbits is an authentic traditional Japanese craft that is used for tea ceremonies.  The green of matcha tea looks beautiful against the blue of the tea bowl and this hand-crafted and hand-painted bowl feels warm and light in your hand.

In Japan, this matcha Japanese tea bowl wave riding rabbits may only come out once every twelve years when it is the year of rabbit. Or you could be born in the year of rabbit.  I was not one but I use this tea bowl every year. How? You may ask. I whisk my green tea in this matcha Japanese tea bowl at Easter time, with a few hot cross buns on its side from my favourite local bakery.
